1st Ascension Island Scouts
SPORTS
We play a lot of sports and have regular competitions between our patrols or the two towns on the Island that we live in, Georgetown and Two-Boats Village (Each population around 250) We love football the best, however, and play 5 a side at the RAF station gym every Monday afternoon.
We also have an annual Georgetown vs Two-Boats floodlit match which is taken very seriously with trophies, cheer-girls, banners etc. Here is a picture of the winning Georgetown side last year.
We sometimes are lucky enough to get a chance at some shooting practice courtesy of visiting Territorial Army Regiments as shown below.
