Welcome to the 1st Ascension Island Scout Group Website!

Part of British Groups Abroad (BGA), we deliver an active programme of indoor and outdoor activities for young people (boys and girls) between the ages of 6 to 18.

* Beaver Scouts, 6 to 8 years
* Cub Scouts, 8 to 10 years
* Scouts, 10 to 14 years
* Explorers, 14 to 18 years

We are a very busy, happy and large group. Some of our more recent highlights include: An all-section Centenary camp, beach camping, mountain camp/hiking, rafting, pioneering (rope-bridge making), community, fire fighting, warship visits, rock-climbing, cooking, map-reading, swimming and lots more!

Training Sections in BGA are identical to those in Groups operating within the U.K., and young people follow the same programmes. Leaders are warranted with The Scout Association and follow the adult training programme.
